Short biographies of some of the current Turning Point Training lecturers
Rosemary is an ex schoolteacher who did some training in classical homoeopathy before having a family. She qualified in Clinical homoeopathy and Bio-diagnostics in 1998, and now practices as a homotoxicologist registered with the British Complementary Medical Association. Rosemary regularly attends two to three training courses a year to keep up with developments in this exciting field. She has been in practice over 8 years working closely alongside osteopaths and other musculo-skeletal therapists. She has had notable success treating systemic causes of muscular pain and arthritis as well as chronic illness such as Parkinson's disease and ME. Jonathan trained as an osteopath after teaching Environmental Science in secondary school. He lectured at the European School of Osteopathy until he moved to the Westcountry. He has subsequently taught osteopathic, soft tissue and cranial techniques in the UK and abroad to a variety of practitioners including massage therapists, osteopaths, midwives and doctors. His courses are always entertaining informative and practical. In practice he has worked with patients of all ages from the newborn to the elderly and worked for a year alongside the medical staff of a professional football team. His approach is holistic and believes in working with compassion. He believes that gentle, safe and effective complementary medicine has a vital role to play the medicine of the future.
Jacqui has run approved EFT Level 1 and Level 2 courses as per Gary Craig�s prescribed syllabus in South Molton. A Level 3 course will follow in 2008, as will courses in Bath. Completion of the Level 2 course fulfils the basic AAMET requirement for registration as EFT practitioner. Dr Stephen Gascoigne qualified in medicine in 1976 and now specialises in Chinese medicine. Following 6 or so years of work in the NHS in the UK he trained in acupuncture in China and subsequently studied in London in Chinese herbal medicine with the esteemed master of Chinese medicine, Tinh Thong Nguyen, a 3rd generation Vietnamese practitioner of Chinese medicine. Stephen is a fully registered medical practitioner with the UK General Medical Council and the Medical Council in Ireland. He is also registered with the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine in the UK, the Irish Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine and The Acupuncture Council of Ireland. Stephen is the author of The Chinese Way to Health (Connections, 2000), The Clinical Medicine Guide (Jigme Press, 2001), The Prescribed Drug Guide (Jigme Press, 2003) and a booklet entitled Natural Alternative for Depression (Winter Press, 2006). web address www.drgascoigne.com
